National Fitness Sales Manager

ENERGYbits Inc. is a small but rapidly growing keto, vegan, algae nutrition company based in Boston’s Beacon Hill area. Our algae tablets provide energy, wellness and fitness benefits from one ingredient (algae) all without processing, chemicals, caffeine or sugar. Our customers are affluent health-conscious consumers, athletes, fitness enthusiasts and wellness professionals and our products are sold nationwide through fitness centers, chiropractors, wellness professionals, spas and longevity centers.

We are hiring a Business Development/Sales Professional to expand our wholesale accounts in the fitness/wellness market nationwide. If fitness is your chosen career and you have at least two years experience selling consumer or sports nutrition products, are passionate about sales and want to join an exciting startup with the very first keto, vegan, sports nutrition product, this position could be for you.

Position Description

This position could be part time or full time depending on your availability. You will report directly to the VP Sales and CEO and be responsible for increasing our wholesale accounts nationwide at fitness studios, gyms, boxing and MMA studios, CrossFit, spinning, yoga studios, spas, wellness centers, and other fitness organizations. You will oversee all sales in your target markets, network with influencers and sports VIP’s, work at our booth at fitness trade shows nationwide, and ensure our revenue growth in all the fitness sectors.


  • 80% wholesale B2B sales in fitness industry to open new wholesale accounts
  • 20% events (working at our trade shows), marketing and related strategic initiatives
  • Use email, excel, Linked-In, CRM (Zoho) and phone calls to maximize your efforts

Qualifications and Skills

For this role you will need to be a college graduate with a major in business or sports management. You must be high energy, very outgoing, able to engage others easily in conversation, be familiar with the sales process, comfortable with email marketing and CRM systems (we use Zoho), have at least two years sales experience selling fitness or sports nutrition and be personally be committed to a healthy lifestyle. You must also be an excellent problem solver, enjoy customer service and have a passion for closing the sale, hitting your sales goals and being a team player.

Experience at a start up is preferred since we are a young company and have a “roll up your sleeves” approach but more important is your enthusiasm for sports, sales and a track record of sales success. This position is based in our Boston office and requires frequent travel nationwide (to fitness trade shows where we exhibit). Sales base of $30,000 - $42,000 base (based on your experience and contacts in the industry) plus 10% sales commissions paid on new wholesale accounts you open. Based on sales success, you may also qualify for a year-end performance bonus that could bring total compensation package up to $70,000/year.
